Vision Statement

Passionately pursuing the presence of God and taking His love to the nations.

Seeing Our Identity, Purpose And Function

Flamborough Christian Fellowship is to be a people whose passionate pursuit is the presence of God, whose purpose is to do only what we see the Father doing in the power of the Holy Spirit and whose function is to evangelize, edify, equip and send an emerging generation of New Testament believers, who God is raising up to carry the ministry of the local church, into our cities and to the nations through the preaching of the gospel and the laying down of our lives.

Seeing Where We Are Going

Where are we heading in WORSHIP:

Because God is seeking worshippers who will worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23,24), we are devoted to a daily life style of passionately loving God our Father (Mat 22:27) with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, in obedience to the truth revealed in Jesus Christ (John 14:6), totally immersed, continually filled and completely in submission to the person of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:5; Acts 4:31; Rom 8:13; Gal 5:25]

Where are we headed in PRAYER:

Because God answers prayer (John 15:7) and Jesus said that God’s house is a house of prayer for all the nations (Mark 11:17), we are committed to seek His face first and pray for the entrance of His Kingdom and the fulfillment of His will on earth as it is in heaven. (Luke 11:2)

Where are we headed in GIVING:

Because Jesus said, “freely you have received, freely give” (Mat. 10:8), and because God loves a cheerful giver (2 Cor. 9:7), we are committed to joyfully giving our lives to God and sacrificially giving our tithes and offerings (Mal 3:8) as a means to fulfil the Great Commission.

Where are we headed in becoming a CARING COMMUNITY:

Jesus was full of compassion (Mat. 9:36) and we are resolved to make every effort to promote a loving, accepting and nurturing community where the broken-hearted can be healed and where people can discover and claim their full potential in Christ. (Luke 4:18)

Where are we headed in DISCIPLESHIP:

Because Jesus said, “You go into all the world and make disciples of every nation” (Mat. 28: 18-20); we are determined to go and publicize the good news of Jesus Christ and to gather to Him people and lead them by example into a radical commitment to seek His presence, obey His Word and invest their lives in furthering His Kingdom.

Where are we headed in Practical Christian SERVICE:

Because Jesus Himself did not come to be served but to serve (Mat. 20:28) as His disciples we are called to service. We are committed to identify specific needs (both spiritual and practical) in our local church and community, to act on those needs according to the principles of God’s Word under the guidance of the Holy Spirit leads us becoming faithful stewards of God’s gifts. (1 John 3:18)

Where are we headed in MISSIONS:

Because Jesus said “Go you and teach all nations” (Mat. 28:19), and again “and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth”, we are committed to a world mission’s vision of active involvement in the expansion of God’s Kingdom. To that end we will work to train, equip, send and support those who will bring the ministry of the local church to our community, cities, country and throughout the world. (Acts 1:8; Luke 24:47)
